Ascending the Petronas Twin Towers

Approximately three decades after its completion, the Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur still stand as a magnificent structure of elegance and beauty, inspiring awe.
Many tourists visit the Twin Towers for its famed shopping complex, which contains many luxury brands. In addition, it has a nearby jogging park and a musical fountain. Many of the surrounding hotels offer stunning views of the Towers.
If you look up at the Twin Towers, you can see that they are connected by a short sky bridge. Many tourists are unaware that the link bridge between the two towers is open to the public!

Hiking Mount Kinabalu

When the famed English climber George Mallory was asked why he wanted to scale Mount Everest, he answered: “Because it is there.”
While not nearly as challenging as Mount Everest, visitors looking for a good, challenging hike may consider Mount Kinabalu. At 4095 m, it is the tallest summit in Southeast Asia.
The climb is typically split into two parts. Accommodation is available some way up the mountain, where visitors usually spend the night before rising early for a climb the next day. You will need to liaise with the park for permission to climb the mountain and arrange to go with a climbing guide. Visitors often try to reach the top before sunrise, giving them sweeping, once-in-a-lifetime views filled with nature's raw force and beauty.

Deep Sea Diving
Malaysia is a fascinating destination for deep-sea diving, which gives you access to a whole new world of unparalleled beauty. It is the one activity that allows you to roam freely in an environment that is both foreign and liberating. Oftentimes, seasoned divers will go around the world searching for the best diving spots, of which Malaysia has many.

One such destination is Tioman Island, where you can book a dive with an expert guide. However, keep in mind that you need to have a diving license to participate in these activities. If you don’t have a diving license, you can get one while on vacation.
Alternatively, if deep-sea diving appears too daunting a task, you can opt for snorkelling, which also allows you to view the beauty of the natural sea.
Embark on an adventure to see the magnificent richness of the Malaysian oceans firsthand. You will be confronted with stunning views of fish of all stripes and sizes, bright-coloured coral, and other sea creatures such as turtles.

Climbing Batu Caves
Batu Caves is a Hindu pilgrimage site in Kuala Lumpur. It consists of 272 steps that are painted with vibrant colours. At the top of the climb, a temple complex is built within a cave site.
Tourists and devotees flock to the popular destination to immerse themselves in a unique spiritual experience. During religious events, this place is crowded with pilgrims and tourists looking to catch the incredible sight of devotees making the arduous journey up these steps, often with body piercings that defy explanation.

A tip for when you’re there: watch out for the mischievous monkeys, which are known to populate the area!

Exploring Mulu Caves
Caves are some of the world's most fascinating natural wonders. When you step into a cave, you enter a whole new environment of shadow and light, echo, and surreal beauty.

The Mulu National Park in Sarawak covers an area of 544 square kilometres. This UNESCO World Heritage site has a cavernous network of limestone caves, which are more fascinating the more you explore. The Mulu Caves also boasts the most significant cave passage in the world, known as the “Deer Cave.”
Langkawi SkyBridge

Measuring 125m in length, the structure ranks among the world’s longest curve suspension bridges. Constructing it was not easy, as the solutions had to factor in the following critical elements: structural balancing from a single point (top of the pylon), optimal weight management and load distribution, pre-fabrication of the bridge, and on-site installation.
The entire bridge, in all its elements, had to be lifted to the top of the mountain by helicopter and was later assembled to its current position.
You can take the cable car up. The journey from the bottom to Langkawi Skybridge takes around 30 minutes. On the top, you can walk through the sky bridge, enjoying the panoramic view of the whole Langkawi island landscape.
